Swedish Care launches “DoktorNow” brand in Turkey to select corporates

Swedish Care has entered the Turkish market with an on-demand primary care digital health solution, branded “DoktorNow”. The application, which was implemented with an investment of 1.5 million Euros, is modeled after the longstanding success of telemedicine solutions in the Nordics. Currently the platform is available to employees of select corporate customers, but will soon be available to the broader public.

The application provides on-demand digital health consultations 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, allowing users to reach a doctor regardless of time and place. In the application, which first takes in the patient’s information, users start to meet with the doctor within an average of 5 minutes - from the convenience of their homes or wherever the patient is.

Dr. Cenk Tezcan, General Manager of the Turkish company, said that DoktorNow started out with 20 physicians and that the number of physicians within the organization will reach 100 in a short time. Magnus Norberg, CEO of Swedish Care, said Turkey is a strategic market for them and plans to increase its investment in Turkey at least 5 times within 5 years. With 300 million primary care visits a year and only 1.7 physicians per 1,000 people in Turkey, the healthcare system is under pressure and demands efficiency-driving solutions. Norberg says, “we seek to implement a proven concept to be part of the solution in the Turkish market and help people live better lives.”
